Overview
The 2009 Nissan Sentra SE-R is an ultimate sports compact from Nissan. It comes in SE-R and SE-R Spec V trim levels. The Sentra SE-R and SE-R Spec V are two sporty variants distinguished from the regular Sentra in terms of interiors, exteriors, and power. This high performance sports compact car offers booming performance and technology and competes with other vehicles in the segment such as the Honda Civic Si, Mazdaspeed3, and Chevrolet Cobalt SS.

The SE-R models are powered by Nissan's QR25DE 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 177 horsepower and 172 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with the Xtronic continuously variable transmission (CVT) with paddle shifter and standard front-wheel drive system. The Sentra SE-R Spec V is powered by a refined version of the QR25DE 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that churns out 200 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. Build And Styling
The SE-R and SE-R Spec V get enhanced styling cues that distinguish them from the parent Sentra model. A different nose and tail design, side sill extensions, and a rear spoiler give an aggressive sporty look to both the SE-R trims. Power sliding glass moonroof with tilt feature is available as a part of an option package. The SE-R boasts of large 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels; 4-wheel disc brakes; dash-mounted oil and G-meter displays; embroidered sport bucket seats; and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The SE-R V adds extra performance features such as 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with summer performance tires; unique chassis bracing; sport-tuned springs; available helical limited-slip differential; 12.6-inch ventilated front rotors; and race-inspired interior accents.
Both trims come well-equipped with standard convenience features like sport bucket seats with SE-R logos; 6-way manual adjustable driver's seat (includes height adjustment); 4-way manually adjustable front-passenger's seat; and Premium AM/FM/CD audio system.
